HOLY NAME OF JESUS SCHOOL.

Holy name of Jesus school was established by rev.Msgr.Raphael Owusu-piprah on the 17th September, 2002.

The purpose of the establishment of the school was to provide quality education to the children in the deprived community of Abekumadi. The people in the community were mostly subsistent farmers .However with the growth of Kumasi,

the capital city of the Ashanti region ,most of the farmlands of the people have been taken by chief and sold for

residential construction leaving many with no means of livelihood . This has plunged them further into poverty,

hence making education the only opportunity for children to move out of poverty .

Although the school has been in existence for over two decades, it has been struggling, and the ownership was

transferred to FST Sisters in last year 2022. Sr Patricia Akoto being the first sister who took over from

Mr. Peter Amofah Nkrumah as an Administrator on the 1st September2022.

Sr.Mary Dankwah Boamah ,FST the first Headmistress who started her work on the first day of March,2023.

As at Monday ,August 28th,2023, the total enrolment of the pupil is 282. 147 males and 135 females.

We have 21 workers ,14 teaching staff and 7 non-teaching staff.
